      Art as a starting point.

Tulips are iconic for the Netherlands. It is not without reason that we have given this beautiful series the name Dutch Beauty. Artist Rick Triest is inspired by the Golden Age, a time when the tulip was immensely popular and was seen as a valuable possession. This feeling of exclusivity and luxury fits in seamlessly with the refined look of Designed by Rick Triest. In addition, Dutch Beauty contributes to the cultural aspect of the collection. The splendor of Holland is reflected in all products. Products that you can find in this line are bags, key rings, mugs, coasters, water bottles and more!

      Tulip Mania

In the Dutch Golden Age, the prices of the newly introduced tulip bulbs reached extreme heights. In January 1637, tulip bulbs were sold for more than ten times the annual salary of an experienced craftsman, and were worth about the same as an Amsterdam canal house. There was also speculation in options on tulips, which were still in the ground at that time. The tulip mania is seen by economists as the first extensively described bubble (speculation wave) in world history. The term tulip mania is often used as a metaphor for a large economic bubble.
